When spraying perfume onto your body, it is common practice to spray your wrists, rub them together, and then rub other parts of your body with your wrists. However, this practice is not ideal. The friction from rubbing causes your skin to release natural enzymes that can negatively affect the course of the perfume's scent. When applying perfume, simply spray it onto your desired body part and leave it alone.

Keep all fragrances in a cool, dry area, and away from windows as sunlight can unbalance the various ingredients. An opened bottle should be kept in its box to insure a longer shelf life.

These are "aroma groupings" of related scents. There is more than one classification system in use, but many list 7 major families: Greens, Florals, Aldehydics, Chypre, Oriental, Fougère & Tobacco/Leather.

Perfume does not last long on dry skin. Before application, moisturize your skin. A non-scented lotion is preferable to prevent other odors from competing with the bouquet of your perfume. Avoid spraying areas that are covered by clothing. Target your wrists, neck, or pulse points. If you live in a hot environment, you may want to avoid spraying your skin since sweat and oil can quickly degrade your perfume. Instead, spray perfume on your hair during hot weather months.

Alcohol makes the fragrance emanate from your skin and brings out the notes. It helps keep the ingredients blended together, and as it evaporates it lifts the scents into the air. Without alcohol, you would be the only person who knew you were wearing any fragrance at all.

Body chemistry is unique. An individual's body chemistry will affect how different fragrance notes react to a person's skin. Skin has a natural smell and can be altered by things like hormonal changes, stress, mood, diet and medications.

If you find yourself asking "Why doesn't my perfume last?" the answer may be in your skin. People with dry skin usually find their perfume or fragrance fading faster than those with oily skin because oily skin has more natural moisture to hold in the fragrance.

PH levels (amount of acidity in our skin) vary slightly from person to person. Our individual levels of PH will determine how each ingredient in a fragrance will react and last.

Fragrance holding time can also be affected by the concentration of the scent. Those with higher concentrations will retain their aroma much longer.

Testers are authentic, fresh and 100% original. They are used by department stores to promote a particular fragrance and therefore are the same quality as the retail product. Testers are made by the manufacturer and may come in a plain box or without the fancy cap.
All testers are new and unused. Because there is no decorative packaging, we can purchase these items for less and pass the savings on to you.
